In the Northeast, Hurricane Irene is on her way, preparing to cause mayhem!  Many people are freaking out! The local newscasts have certainly been a contributing factor in this result. They are making it sound like the end of the world is coming.  I have friends, with rental properties, who are going nuts - 'getting their homes ready'.  What that actually means, I have no clue.  Me, I could care less.  I pick up the phone, make a call to my girl Teri (Pablo Beach Insurance), in Florida, and she tells me all is good.  This is my only concern.  Now typically, it is Teri who is calling me, to remind me about a policy renewal, which may have fallen to the way side.  However, the important thing is, I have a solid woman like Teri to represent me.  I know if I have a rental property issue, proper insurance coverage will be in place and Teri will be on the look out!

Lesson here - good insurance coverage is key.  It allows you to mitigate potential risk to your investment properties.  Find an agent with a good track record and protect your assets.

So, this weekend, instead of running around and worrying about mother nature, over which I have no control, I will be hosting a hurricane party!  If you are around, swing by!
